We welcome you to the website of the 12th IRSPM Conference which will take place from 26 to 28 March 2008 at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. This will be our first conference "Down Under". This conference offers you a broad choice of up-to-date papers and debates from the diverse fields of public management and governance.
Queensland University of Technology is a leading Australian university which is well known as 'a university for the real world' because of our close links with industry and the public sector and our world class research program, which is particularly strong in public management.
The campus is set in the picturesque Brisbane Botanic Gardens and is situated on the north bank of the city's signature natural landmark, the Brisbane River. We are just a short stroll away from Southbank, which is the heart of Brisbane's culture, entertainment and recreation and enjoys one of Brisbane's best locations.
We are looking forward to meeting with you in our community of public management scholars – the IRSPM – and to welcome you at the Queensland University of Technology next March.
